About Nothin' But Trouble Nothin' But Trouble is an up-and-coming female who was our pick of the litter out of the breeding of our female Drew's Favorite Ginger Snap (Ginger) and 2xNAGDC/DC/AFC Clyde's Double Trouble. We have just started campaigning Trouble in puppy and derby stakes and she is showing the freshness and eagerness that we expected from this breeding. Trouble's sire is 2xNAGDC/DC/AFC Clyde's Double Trouble (Dubb), owned by Kevin and Sandra Remmers. "Dubb" is a 39 lbs, exciting, wide ranging, gun dog with plenty of stamina for hour stakes or all day hunts. He has great bird finding abilities with his points being staunch, stylish limb finds. He is the winner of both the 2005 and 2007 National Amateur Gun Dog Champion titles therefore making him one of the only dogs in the history of the breed to have earned a National Championship title twice. Throughout his field career he has 48 total placements in AKC and/or American Field sanctioned field trial events, 14 of which were first place. He was named the LaSalle Brittany Club 2005 Gun Dog of the Year and the Heart of Illinois Brittany Club's Adult Field Dog of the Year in 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2009. He was named Field Trial Clubs of IL 2005 Open Gun Dog of the Year, 2005 Open Walking Gun Dog of the Year, 2006 and 2009 Amateur Walking Gun Dog of the Year, and was the 2008 Runner-up Open Gun Dog of the Year. To further add to his field accomplishments Dubb finished 4th in the nation in 2005 and 5th in the nation in 2007 in competition for the Magnum's Masked Man Award which is awarded to the Brittany who has won the most gun dog field trial points of any dog in the nation in a given year. In addition to his outstanding field trial and personal hunting companion career and focus, 2xNGDC/DC/AFC Clyde's Double Trouble is also a finished conformational show champion hence his dual champion (DC) title. He earned 1st in the 12-18 month sweeps at the 2001 American Brittany National Specialty Show, has 3 Best of Breed Show wins and 2 Best of Winner's Wins to complete his conformation show championship title Dubb is a once in a lifetime dog who is a proven producer of both conformation show winners as well as field trial competition winners. Trouble's mother, Drew's Favorite Ginger Snap (Ginger) has proven to have the strong hunting instinct and desire that her fine lineage supports. She is a moderate range gun dog who is a supremely driven, hard hunting dog who doesn't get sidetracked when finding birds. Once she starts looking for birds she means to find them. Through simple instinct she looks in the most likely places birds will be and therefore covers ground thoroughly in her hunt. She is also a well mannered pet who loves attention. Ginger has proven herself as an excellent producer of the future generations of high-class Brittanys as well. Ginger is the dam of Emma Tayshon who we currently have in our field trial string who is exciting us greatly with her ability. Ginger's mother, named Nancy Drew (Lucy), is a full sibling to 2009 National Brittany Gun Dog Champion, 2009 National Brittany Amateur Gun Dog Champion FC/AFC Peter Gunn who is the only dog in the history of the breed to have ever won both National Gun Dog Championships and won every National Gun Dog Award which includes the Tri-Tronics Dog of the Year award and Magnum's Masked Man award.. Ginger's sire is FC/AFC Brook's Little Pete (Opie) who finished the 2008 field trial season as the #5 gun dog in the nation. Ginger's grandsire is NAFC/FC/AFC Walker’s Gunner, the 1997 National Amateur All-Age Champion. Ginger's grandmother is our foundation female AFC Bullet’s Renegade Miss Megan who is also a strong hunter and field trial contender. Megan is a direct daughter of 32x NSTRA Champion Nolan’s Last Bullet who has more NSTRA wins than any dog of any breed in NSTRA history.
